Solution caves are formed slowly over a long period of time. As water seeps from the surface of the earth deeper into the earth's crust, it dissolves bedrock and leaves a hollow chamber. As water continues to flow, stalactites and stalagmites form. Solution caves are usually made of limestone or other soluble materials
